Trial design, implementation, and evaluation

PELab experts work with policymakers and service providers to help design and evaluate programs and policies for their effectiveness in improving lives of the Australian and Asia-Pacific population. We also design and deliver our own online and face-to-face experiments with a focus on policy relevance. PELab advocates pre-registration of trials and making data available for secondary use. We work with our partners to collect and archive data from experimental studies.

Executive education

​Members of PELab deliver executive education courses covering a wide range of topics related experimental research, including trial design and implementation, policy evaluation, and behavioural economics. We offer the flexibility to design tailor-made courses that meet the specific needs of participants. PELab experts have extensive experience delivering executive education courses to various Australian government departments, such as the Treasury and the Department of Social Services. We have also successfully conducted training programs for public servants from governments in the Asia-Pacific region, including Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Sri Lanka.​

Consulting​

PELab experts provide consulting services to both private and public sector clients. The consulting experience of PELab experts includes successful engagements with government agencies in Australia (Commonwealth Grants Commission, Department of Education, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, National Centre for Vocational Education Research) and New Zealand (Department of Labour), as well as international organisations (World Bank).
